Petros Kosmadakis was born and raised in Crete. His particular tendency for cooking became obvious since his early school years. He grew up in a home where the Cretan traditional scents of the kitchen would dominate the whole house, and this led him to follow his dream, studying in the Tourism Professions School. Being only 21 years old, he found himself to coordinate a hotel’s kitchen, and a few years later his gastronomical skills were hosted by Rethymnian "Avli", a tratidional 15th Century Building.
His particularly strong love for Crete, urged him to stay and dispose himself to the Island that produces the most aromatic herbs and the most tasteful products. The pure Cretan ingredients he uses create distinguished gustations, sprinkled with his fantasy and "meraki" (Greek for enthusiasm).
Petros has been the Executive Chef of Lato Boutique Hotel since April 2008, putting his personal care and sign to the menus of Brillant Gourmet Restaurant, Herbs' Garden and of the Aroma a la carte Restaurant.
